The thermostat in a car is a temperature control part which is fixed in a course of the cooling water circulation in the engine body. When the engine is cold, the thermostat is closed and the coolant is recirculated within the engine until it warms up. And once the engine reaches
operating temperature, the thermostat opens to cool
down the engine properly by regulating the amount
of coolant which is circulated between the engine and radiator.
